Role Overview

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service. Your role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing accurate vehicle assessments, explaining service options, and guiding customers through the repair and maintenance process.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inspect vehicles and review service history to accurately identify customer needs.
• Recommend appropriate services, parts, and accessories by applying thorough product knowledge.
• Provide accurate estimates for service costs and completion times, and obtain customer authorization.
• Monitor service progress and communicate changes in cost or completion time to customers for approval.
• Administer warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
• Confirm service appointments via telephone prior to customer arrival and conduct post-repair follow-ups.
• Inspect vehicles before delivery to ensure quality and communicate results to customers.
• Comply with all state and federal laws regarding automobile repair and consumer protection.
• Exhibit company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

Work Hours

Full-time schedule with hours based on service department operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a service advisor in the automotive industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Energetic and positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a process-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
